Pale Blue Dot is the ninth track off of Dream Theater's fourteenth studio album, Distance Over Time. It is the final track on the regular edition of the album.
The song refers to Earth in a photograph taken by Voyager 1. The photograph itself has come to be called “Pale Blue Dot” (thanks to astronomer Carl Sagan). The song is influenced by Sagan’s talk at Cornell in 1994 that unveiled this photograph to the public.
